More Vastu Facts

  • The ground must be a square or rectangle[four corners should be right angles]
  • South west [Nairuthi] in the ground must be higher.
  • Agni corner must be lower than Nairuthi.
  • Vayuu corner[North west] must be lower than Agni and Nairitya corners
  • Eashanya corner [North East] must be lower than Agni, Nairitya and Vayuu or should be set up in such a way.
  • In the ground north must be lower than south, East must be lower than west. If it is otherwise then it must be set up to be like that.
  • The door must not be opening from outside.
  • There must not be any building at the place where east and north walls join and must not be adjacent to North or west side walls.
  • Over head water tank must be at the south west corner.
  • Underground Sump, submersible pump, and well can be installed in the vacant land on the north side. Must not be installed on any other side.
  • Nothing should be grown on the North east (Eashaniyam) side.
  • Sub buildings: Sub buildings can be built on the vacant land on the south and west side. But the wall of the sub building must not be touching the wall of the main building. At the same time north and east side of the sub building must be left vacant.
  • Tall trees can be planted on the vacant land on south and west side.
  • Toilets and bathrooms can be built on the Northwest (Vayuu) side. They must not be built on the Nairiti [Southwest] side. Toilet must not be built under ground.
  • Canteen: Canteen can be built on the west of Vayuu side with four feet distance from North side wall.
  • Transformer and power house can be built on the south east side of the factories.
  • Heavy machinery can be built on the Nairuthi side. It is excellent to have tall machinery installed.[Southwest]
  • Machinery that have to be installed on high platforms or elevated places can be set up on Nairuthi side. Other machinery, after that, can be installed on the south or the West side.
  • Packing table can be set up on the Northwest (Vayuu) corner.
  • No side of any machinery, platform or working table must not be touching East or north side walls.
  • Admin office inside the factory can be set up on the Southwest (Nairuthi ) side.
  • No machinery or material must be heaped or stocked in the center or the north east side of the factory.
  • Machinery on high platform must not be installed near the north or east walls. Machinery in the lower ground can be installed on these sides.
  • Chairman/MD (Chief Executive officer) when sits in that building or in any other room should be seated in the rooms on southwest side.
  • Underground Water tanks, if they are to be installed, should be in the vacant places on the eashaniyam [North east] side.
  • Bureaus and Steel almirahs should be on the Southwest (Nairuthi ) corner, placed on platforms and facing the North or East.
  • Electricity meter or Electricity panel /switch board etc., can be installed in the Southeast (Agni) or Northwest (Vayuu) corner.
  • Generator, Power house, Electric furnace and computers must be Installed on the Agni corner; can be installed on the Vayuu corner too.
  • Main door in the Southwest (Nairuthi ) side shall inivte labour problem to the factory.
  • Completed goods ready for sale, if they are accumulated in the North east (Eashaniyam) shall increase production and bring in big loss resulting in closure of the factory.
  • Open space in Southwest (Nairuthi ): On the Southwest (Nairuthi ) side buildings must be constructed without leaving much space on the North east (Eashaniyam). Similarly south side must have more vacant space than in the North side.
  • Power room, Generator room, Switch board, boiler, stoves and, Furnaces must be installed in the Agni corner.
  • Underground installation such as Well, Sump, Septic tank, bore well must not be in the Southeast(Agni) corner.
  • Similarly Southwest (Nairuthi ) corner must be higher than the Southeast(Agni) corner.
  • Underground Construction: Some people may like to construct building underground. When constructed in the building area, it can be constructed in such a way that cellar comes on the Northeast. Cellar must not be constructed under the total building.
  • Rain Water drain: In the terrace as well as in the vacant space it must be sloped in such a way that water runs to North east (Eashaniyam). The rain must exit through north side on the equal half of East of building and on the east side equal half of North .
  • The waste water Tank: Septic can be installed in northwest vacant space in the right half side of the North Compound wall.
  • Water out of Room Cleaning: Water , from any room in the factory building must be cleaned from North Eashniyam or east Eashaniyam

Well and Bore wells:

  • Can be or in the vacant space in East side compound wall on the north of the right middle till the Eashaniyam.
  • Can be the north side compound wall from the right middle till the Eashniyam, in the North of the vacant place, well and Bore well can be installed.

If the place is angular or crooked to the direction:

The Ground can be in places where corner are not as per the direction shown by the compass. It should be seen if the ground set up is as per the direction shown by the compass, before starting to construct the building. If the ground is as per the direction shown by the compass, it is prudent to consult a Vastu expert. Even the Vastu experts may be confused about where to place the main gates/door. They will get doubts or you may avoid such plots.
